Job Summary
Reporting to the Dean of the College of Design, the Assistant Dean of Finance (ADF) works in conjunction with the Dean, academic leadership, Provost Budget Office and the EVPFA to direct the fiscal leadership of the College of Design in budgeting, planning, strategy, analysis, reporting and oversight of financial activities. Oversight areas include the annual college budget, internal business processes and controls, the college endowment portfolio, and the effective and efficient operation of the Design Centralized Business Office.The ADF serves as a key member of the college’s leadership team, providing guidance to the Dean and college leadership. The ADF plays an active role in strategic financial planning and assists the Dean in administrative implementation of strategic goals and administrative policy. The preferred candidate must be able to adhere to tight deadlines, be a self-starter, a critical thinker, have strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and possess the ability to learn new tasks quickly.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Accounting proficiency including knowledge of GAAP, FASB/GASB, solid knowledge/awareness of relevant UK policies and procedures, excellent communication and strong leadership skills, SAP & Microsoft Suite skills.
