Description
Acuity is seeking a Development & Learning Specialist to assist in the creation, development, and implementation of development and learning programs for Acuity employees. This role partners with the Director - Employee Development & Learning to identify development and learning needs, design and implement programs and measure effectiveness of the programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with management and employees.
  • Assist with the development of training programs to fulfill employee needs to maintain, improve or augment skills and/or secure applicable external training resources.
  • Design, develop, and implement programs aligned with employee personal and professional development needs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and deliver high-quality programs.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Utilize various channels, including in-person, workshops, mentoring, coaching, virtual, and e-learning platforms.
  • Assist with development and execution of leadership development programs for management.
  • Provide coaching and support to enhance leadership capabilities within the organization.
  • Mentor others to amplify the company’s learning and development efforts. 
  • Develop tools and resources to support ongoing performance and development.
  • Collaborate with management to train and implement learning and development coaching.
  • Implement assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of learning and development programs.
  • Partner across company departments to ensure programs support each step on the career development journey.
  • Gather and analyze feedback.
  • Explore and implement innovative technologies to enhance learning and development delivery and accessibility.
  • Explore learning management system (LMS) to track and report on employee progress.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in employee development.
  • Build data repositories to allow for easy reporting of learning activity completion.
  • Prepare reports on learning metrics.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Development and Learning or a related field or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:
Proven experience in project management skills and designing and delivering effective employee development and learning programs.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, coaching and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence positive change.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in professional and personal development and learning.

The salary range for this position is $72,000- $82,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
