Job Summary  | Supports comprehensive fundraising and engagement efforts for the College of Law and works with other stakeholders on campaigns, annual fund activities, major gift solicitation, donor recognition, thank you process, stewardship, communications, volunteer coordination, and special events. Manages ongoing donor acknowledgement activities and event planning. Manages a portfolio of “discovery” prospects. Coordinates areas of program/project planning, research development and analysis and special project support by compiling statistics and information, analyzing data, preparing reports and making appropriate recommendations. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Urban Studies, Communications, Public Relations or related studied. Four (4) years of experience in higher education advancement and event planning. Experience utilizing prospect tracking systems and databases.

Preferred Qualifications  | Experience in higher education fundraising, with an understanding of academic, research and education functions and operational principles in a major research university.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)  | Proficient in written and verbal communication skills, the ability to make effective presentations, have strong public speaking skills, develop and drive change and effectively communicate change. Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and work as an individual contributor and an effective team player, in addition to being highly organized, self-directed and forward-thinking. Skilled in project management, problem-solving, analysis, follow-through, influence and persuasion. Ability to function as systems thinker and be solution minded with a global perspective. Detailed oriented and capable of managing large amounts of data, maintain detailed comprehensive records, analyze and organize information, have effective project and time management skills. Ability to successfully perform general math calculations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint. Ability to travel and work weekends.
