Job Summary | The Digital Content Administrator will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the university’s goals and enhances its digital presence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
Content Strategy Development Collaborate with university stakeholders to understand objectives and target audiences. Conduct content audits and gap analyses to identify opportunities. Develop and implement a content strategy that supports UT Arlington’s goals. Create content calendars to ensure consistent, timely content delivery across all digital platforms.
Content Creation and Management Act as a consultant to various teams, guiding the creation of high-quality, engaging content for websites, blogs, social media, email newsletters, and other digital channels. Work with subject matter experts to gather accurate information and insights. Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and tone. Optimize content for Search Engine Optimization and user experience.
Cross-functional Collaboration Partner with the digital and design teams to ensure cohesive content across all channels. Collaborate with web developers and designers to optimize content presentation. Support and guide content contributors across the university, including faculty, staff, and students. Foster strong relationships with the communications team — editorial and media relations — to creatively enhance and amplify long-form content across various digital channels. Work closely with agencies and internal partners to ensure alignment and consistency in content strategy and execution.
Performance Analytics Utilize analytics tools to monitor content performance. Generate reports and provide insights on content effectiveness. Identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to enhance content strategies
Industry Trends and Innovation Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content strategy and digital marketing. Share knowledge and propose innovative ideas to keep UT Arlington’s content strategy at the forefront.

Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related degree. Seven (7) years of experience in content strategy or digital content marketing; or eleven (11) years of an equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar role.
Preferred Qualifications | Master’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related degree. Nine (9) years of experience in content strategy or digital content marketing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and web publishing tools. Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization techniques. Experience with analytics tools to track content performance (e.g., google analytics). Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
