Job Description The Laurel Ridge Community College department of Information Technology Services invites applications for the role of Digital Identity Administrator. This position is tasked with designing and maintaining a robust identity governance framework that secures institutional data while facilitating seamless user access.
The incumbent will lead a comprehensive initiative to audit and restructure the directory services infrastructure (Active Directory/Entra ID) to support advanced automation. Furthermore, this role requires deep analytical engagement with core VCCS enterprise resource planning systems (SIS, AIS, Cardinal, WES) to develop secure, automated provisioning workflows that mitigate risk and align with FERPA, GLBA and HIPAA compliance standards.
Classified: Compensation and Benefits The hiring range for this position is $67,858.00 – $98,394.00. Salary will be commensurate with competencies and experience. Access Control: Proven experience designing
RBAC models and translating business needs into technical policies.
Security & Governance: Hands-on configuration experience with
Microsoft Purview and
Microsoft Authenticator.
Scripting: Strong proficiency in PowerShell for automation and reporting.
Directory Services: Expert-level knowledge of
Active Directory (AD DS) and
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). Proven subject matter knowledge, which may be evidenced by training, experience, and/or credentials.
Additional Considerations |
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of data privacy requirements in Higher Education (FERPA),
GLBA(Financial) and
HIPAA (health data) regulations.
IAM Platforms: Experience with
Rapid Identity (Identity Automation) or similar meta-directory tools.
