Department SummaryThe University of North Texas competes as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Athletic Conference. North Texas’ athletic programs are classified as NCAA Division I, the largest and highest division among all colleges and universities. The 46,000 square-foot Athletic Center located off South Bonnie Brae Street is the centerpiece of North Texas athletics. Athletics strives to conduct a competitive athletics program that promotes faculty, staff, student and community affiliation and participation with the North Texas Athletics. Position OverviewOversees digital streaming production and operations for all Mean Green athletic events on MeanGreenSports.com and external digital broadcast entities. Produces content for all athletics video boards.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in in related field and three years' of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
Preferred QualificationsThe preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Masters Degree.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:Lead producer of ESPN broadcasts for UNT athletic events and other special events for digital distribution. Oversee production and direction of video board operation for live sporting events. Maintain equipment to ensure that all elements are working properly for live event coverage.Work with staff to ensure sponsorship fulfillment for live events and marquees.Produce content to be used externally for events, including highlight videos. Provide relevant feature video content to MeanGreenSports.com Manage student workers on game day to ensure broadcast quality production. Identify and cultivate pool of student workers freelancers to adequately staff all needs.
