Job Description

The Director of Business Intelligence and External Strategy is responsible for the day-to-day analytics operations within the Department of Athletics and supporting the strategic vision established by the Associate AD for Business Intelligence & External Strategy. The Director will oversee the development of analytics models, reporting platforms, and data infrastructure that support revenue generation, fan engagement, operational efficiency, and sport program strategy.


This role serves as a key connector between data systems and departmental decision-makers, translating complex datasets into actionable insights that inform business strategy, NIL initiatives, fan engagement efforts, and departmental resource allocation. The Director will collaborate with internal departments including ticketing, marketing, development, finance, and sport administration to build analytics capabilities that enhance performance and optimize revenue. This position reports directly to the Associate AD for Business Intelligence & External Strategy.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Sports Management, Economics, or related field with relevant experience, or a master's degree.
Relevant experience in analytics, business intelligence, or strategic operations.
Experience working with large datasets and analytics tools.
Functional familiarity with athletics technology platforms including CRM and ticketing systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Analytics, Sports Management, Data Science, or MBA.
Experience in a NCAA Division I "Power 4" collegiate athletics department or professional sports analytics environment.
