The Director of Curriculum Outcomes Research (DCOR) will be responsible for directing the curricular outcomes-focused and continuous improvement programs for the educational program at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine (HMSOM). This role will manage the accreditation program for the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). This role will oversee HMSOM¿s Longitudinal Outcomes of Medical Education (LongMED) data and the correlated outcomes focused program evaluation for the educational program, which strives to use this data to bolster initiatives and evaluate program effectiveness, ensuring the HMSOM is achieving its target goals and impact.
Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a Director of Curriculum Outcomes Research (DCOR) at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Lead the development and implementation of an outcomes-focused program evaluation program.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and other collaborators on educational research, including assessing the medium and long term impact.
- Collaborate and integrate with relevant units at HMSOM and HMH, including in the realms of research, quality improvement, and data and analytics.
- Lead the LCME continuous quality and improvement (CQI) program.
- Lead administrative aspects of medical student education continuous quality improvement initiatives, including integration with work driven by the school¿s curriculum management plan and relevant administrative unit assessment.
- Develop and maintain project management tools to track LCME and curricular CQI activities.
- Work with curriculum committees to ensure appropriate implementation and monitoring of CQI initiatives.
- Direct communication processes related to curricular and LCME CQI.
- Work in close partnership with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs to develop and implement an effective system for maintenance of successful LCME accreditation.
- 1Serve as an institutional lead to direct, and assist others in navigating, the successful achievement of LCME requirements.
- Manage all logistical aspects of the LCME survey visits, including but not limited to:
- Compiling, formatting, and submitting the survey package (e.g. self-study report and independent student analysis)
- Managing the LCME-specified Data Collection Instrument (DCI) for the survey
- Coordinating on-the-ground details for the survey site visit.
- Partner with deans and directors as needed, to plan, forecast, and develop budgets for accreditation needs, including external consultant visits and LCME accreditation visits.
- Serve as an active member of the Accreditation Preparation & Quality Improvement (APQI) community of practice, the national group for accreditation professionals.
- Maintain updated knowledge of all LCME standards and processes related to institutional compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- PhD or MD with 5 or more years of experience in medical education, health professions education, or higher education.
- 2 years of prior leadership experience.
- Working knowledge of and experience with quality improvement initiatives and program evaluation.
- Familiarity with LCME accreditation.
- Proven ability to analyze data, synthesize findings, and communicate insights effectively through clear and concise writing and presentations for a range of audiences and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
