The Director, Finance will serve as a trusted partner of our Business Development & Partner Management team. This role provides strategic and analytical leadership to evaluate new university partnership opportunities, optimize deal structures, and enhance visibility into the revenue pipeline.
The position is highly visible, very collaborative, and plays a critical role in informing the Risepoint growth strategy, working closely with executives across Business Development, Partner Management, Marketing, and the Executive Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial modeling and analysis for new partnerships, renewals, and pricing negotiations.
- Partner with Business Development executive leadership team to evaluate the financial impact of pipeline opportunities, structure deals, and assess long-term partner profitability.
- Translate sales and operational metrics into actionable financial insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Present findings and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team, providing clear financial narratives and scenario analyses.
- Support board-level materials, strategic planning processes, and performance reviews related to growth initiatives.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting to track business development performance and conversion efficiency.
- Drive process improvements to increase forecast accuracy, deal transparency, and data consistency across Finance and Sales Operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or commercial finance roles; at least 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record supporting business development, sales operations, or deal analysis functions.
- Strong financial modeling, scenario planning, and executive presentation skills.
- Experience with financial planning systems (Planful, Salesforce, NetSuite)
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on analytical work in a fast-moving environment.
