Role Overview
To position Chartis for continued growth, we are looking for a talented professional to join the firm’s Learning team. We seek a Learning Director whose focus will be to design, build or curate, deliver and manage formal and informal learning opportunities aligned with strategic business priorities. The Learning Director is a key role focused on driving the AI & Digital fluency of Chartis’ workforce to enable growth-focused AI & Digital transformation efforts for the firm’s Lines of Business (LOBs). This individual collaborates with consulting leaders as well as Talent (HR), Knowledge Management, AI & Digital subject matter experts and other learning team colleagues to implement priority initiatives and support the firm’s mission to provide outstanding value to clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead collaboration efforts with business leaders and internal SMEs to shape a learning strategy and approach for AI & Digital skill development
- Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on leading technology skill-building practices and instructional design principles
- Drive implementation of agile and scalable learning solutions aligned to strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders and SMEs, external vendors, and learning colleagues
- Establish an impact measurement strategy in collaboration with business leaders and shape learning solutions to drive results aligned to that strategy
- Oversee the design process for learning projects, including creating the design using scope, needs assessment and conceptual design as input; create design documentation, including instructional method, delivery vehicle, content and timing.
- At times, facilitate virtual and in-person learning programs, managing the event while teaming with colleagues to push the participants to deepen their knowledge/skill development.
- Participate actively in annual budget planning process and manage the budget by program.
- Work with vendors to create/contextualize externally developed content for Chartis.
- Keep up to date on leading sources of external tech training and identify on-demand content for specific audiences to meet specific needs.
- Keep a growth mindset by evaluating learning events, researching external learning solutions and suggesting improvements.
- Lead a small team of learning colleagues, providing guidance, coaching and mentorship.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues across all levels throughout the firm.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
- 8+ years of progressive learning design, delivery and facilitation experience including experience with AI and/or technology skill development; experience at a professional services firm is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required, focus on instructional design and/or technology a plus
- l Demonstrated understanding and application of adult learning principles
- Demonstrated people / team leadership experience in a learning team setting
- Strong project leadership experience, comfortable managing and prioritizing under tight timelines
- Thrives in a rapidly evolving, dynamic environment, high level of comfort with ambiguity
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; Ability to synthesize content and communicate in concise, informative written communication
- Exceptional client service orientation - highly responsive and willing to go the extra mile
- Experience collaborating across functional teams
- Solution-oriented; creative problem solver
- Highly collaborative; equally effective as a project leader and a team player
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- The role works remotely, however, some travel required (e.g., firm meetings, learning event facilitation)
Salary range: $146,000–220,000, plus, may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
