Position Overview | The Director of Broadcast Production will oversee all production of Idaho Vandal Athletics video and digital broadcasts, managing the delivery of content and programming for ESPN, the Big Sky Conference, regional and national television and other official department channels and opportunities. This position will also oversee a large group of gameday staff and student interns. Key responsibilities include scheduling student and freelance crew, preparing production documents, shooting footage to appear in broadcasts and equipment set-up. The position reports directly to the Director of Athletic Digital Content and Productions. Duties may include directing and producing live events; producing video for marketing and recruiting purposes and other duties associated with live production of events and content creation.

Required Experience | Experience with remote and studio production editing, camera operation and audio Experience using digital editing software in a work environment Experience using video graphic methods, techniques, processes and equipment

Required Other | Must be able to work nonstandard business hours occasionally
Additional Preferred | Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, video production, Radio/TV/Film, communications, or related field Master’s degree preferred Experience directing and/or producing in-venue shows or live broadcasts, as well as the ability to create high-impact videos from ideation through postproduction Experience with digital video hardware, software, infrastructure and personnel necessary for live and on-demand HD sports production, transmission and archiving preferred Experience operating and utilizing HD Camera Systems, fiber optic transport systems, broadcast audio systems and replay systems Demonstrate experience in content development, shooting and postproduction for videoboards and/or social media platforms Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong work ethic Strong desire to work in athletics
