Old Dominion University (ODU) is hiring a Director of Creative Services. The Director will lead the university's creative team, guiding the entire creative process from concept development to execution across copywriting, design, photography, and videography, while overseeing marketing campaigns and managing a diverse creative staff.
Highlights
Lead and manage a creative team including photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and copywriters.
Guide concept development, storyboarding, creative execution, and campaign strategy alignment.
Collaborate with marketing teams to measure the success and gather insights from campaigns.
Supervise full-time and part-time creative staff and provide direction to consultants and university marketing professionals.
Handle sensitive issues and crisis communications responsively and collaboratively.
Required skills include expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, video storytelling, scripting, and multimedia production.
Must have a Master’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
Four+ years of video storytelling experience and considerable knowledge of branding, marketing, advertising, and digital media.
Preferred experience includes higher education marketing and university management roles.
In-person reporting required; the position is not eligible for telework.
