Dallas Regional Medical Center is a 202-bed acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission that offers a wide range of medical services including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging. The hospital is the only Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Labor and Delivery Unit in the area. In addition, Dallas Regional is the only Trauma Center for 13 miles, and was the first Accredited Geriatric Emergency Room in Dallas County. The hospital is a recipient of Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Awards, 15 Healthgrades Five-Star ratings over the past three years, and Straight "A" Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group since 2018. Responsibilities: 
The Director of Education provides leadership of activities supporting clinical practices, professional development, patient care and clinical initiative outcomes for the facility. Leads change efforts in areas of benchmarking, patient safety and clinical best practices to support achievement of high quality nursing care and patient outcomes. Provides oversight of Pathway to Excellence/Magnet designation according to the American Nurses Credentialing Center requirements. Oversees and assures compliance as a designated State Board of Nursing continuing nursing education provider.

Qualifications: 
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
2. Current BLS (AHA / ARC) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS (AHA / ARC) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
4. Current PALS (AHA / ARC) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
5. Minimum of 2 years of previous hospital educational experience education required
6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Masters of Science in Nursing preferred.
