Core Responsibilities:
  • Daily Leadership: Provide daily leadership for the Engineering Americas team by setting clear direction, follow up on progress, and offering guidance to both the team and individual members to foster a collaborative environment. 
  • Project Coordination: Drive all Engineering activities related to expansion projects, ensuring successful completion that meets the highest quality standards. 
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Work closely with the Engineering Leadership Team to drive key initiatives and tasks for the department. 
  • Decision-Making Engagement: Actively participate in decision-making processes within the Engineering scope, supporting your team while ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. 
  • Standard Development and Innovation: Develop, maintain, and innovate global standards for technical aspects, including supply concepts, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) fields, building management systems, and fire safety protocols. 
  • Supporting Growth: Contribute to the growth of LEGO by fulfilling commitments and aspirations, ensuring our products reach more children around the world! 

Play your part in our team succeeding:
Engineering AMS is part of the GWP Engineering area inside Global Workplace Projects. In GWP, we are responsible for large scale construction projects and other utility related projects. Engineering is responsible for the technical aspects e.g. supply concepts, MEP disciplines, building management systems and fire safety. We develop, maintain and innovate our global standards and apply them in the projects worldwide.  
The global team consists of 30+ people (mainly engineers), with a broad diversity in functional fields and experience. The team supports both operation and projects at all sites globally. 

As Director for Engineering AMS you will drive this overall agenda together with LT peers and support the entire area, in order to deliver on our commitments in accordance with the LEGO Group’s promises and aspirations supporting our ambition to deliver our fantastic product to more children.  

Do you have what it takes? 
  • Proven leadership experience in a technical field, showcasing the ability to guide and mentor teams effectively. 
  • Expertise in engineering management and systems, preferably within Mechanical, Electrical or similar discipline, ensuring optimal design, operations and maintenance. 
  • Strong partner engagement, with a track record of fostering relationships both internally and externally. 
  • Familiarity with design practices for constructions and installations, contributing to innovative project development. 
  • Experience working within a global organization and able to navigate diverse cultures and countries. 
  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders, providing them with critical information to support decision-making. 
  • Ability to create and deliver high-level written presentations for distribution across the organization. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a talent for building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.

Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $153,020.00 - $229,530.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
