Department Summary
As the clinical practice group of UNT Health Fort Worth, we provide comprehensive primary and multispecialty care. Our reach extends across Fort Worth, Denton, and Dallas, delivering expert care through our clinics, in-home visits, hospitals, and long-term care facilities.

We utilize interprofessional teams, where physicians, advanced practice practitioners, therapists, pharmacists, and specialized staff work collaboratively.

We intentionally integrate healthcare students, residents, and fellows into care delivery at select practice locations, fostering the development of future health professionals while optimizing patient care delivery.

Position Overview
The Director, Financial Operations for the UNT Health Clinical Practice Group and provides strategic financial oversight and operational support for the clinical practice group. This role is responsible for the integrity of the annual budget, financial analysis and modeling, and the optimization of clinical expenses. By bridging the gap between finance and clinical operations, the Director supports key financial activities required for clinical practice operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant field with six (6) years of related experience with financial analysis, budget reports, accounting principles; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Duties
Strategic Budget Development & Fiscal Maintenance:Lead the annual budget development process and provide ongoing maintenance for the clinical practice group.Collaborate with clinical department heads to forecast volumes, revenues, and expenditures.Conduct monthly variance analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies between actuals and budget.Maintain long-range financial plans that align with the group’s growth objectives and care delivery standards.Financial Planning, Personnel Budgeting, and Feasibility Analysis:Directly support department clinical and practice leadership with routine financial tracking and budget projections.Personnel Oversight: Maintain salary expense allocations; process ePar transactions and ensure personnel funding aligns with clinical funding models.Feasibility Studies: Complete specific clinical operations analysis for new and existing services, including break-even and Return on Investment (ROI) assessments.Financial Analysis and Operational Excellence:Partner with Operations and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) teams to analyze reimbursement patterns and payer trends; conduct service-level and reimbursement break-even analyses to ensure clinical activities are financially sustainable.Use financial analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical spend, ensuring that resources (labor, supplies, and overhead) are deployed to yield the highest possible operational and clinical return.
