The Director oversees strategic planning, budget management, staff supervision, program development, assessment, and fosters internal and external partnerships to advance student success and diversity initiatives.

Highlights
  • Provide comprehensive advising and support for approximately 120 applicants annually to health professions graduate programs.
  • Oversee the Health Professions Letter Packet Process and application management.
  • Offer individual applicant advising, reviewing transcripts, personal statements, exam scores, and target schools.
  • Track application interview and acceptance data and report findings to leadership and campus partners.
  • Manage student programming including workshops, interview training, and the biennial Health Professions School Expo.
  • Supervise Assistant Director and student workers; plan and implement program operations and events.
  • Require knowledge of health professional application systems such as AMCAS, AADSAS, AACOMAS, CASPA.
  • Hold a Master’s degree and have six to eight years of academic advising experience, including at least three years in health professions advising.
  • Salary range: $71,700 to $89,600, depending on qualifications and departmental factors.
  • Utilize software and systems like Microsoft Office, SLATE, Blackboard, Handshake, Banner for program management.
