Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Director of Learning and Development to design and deliver best-in-class training and development programs. This leader will partner closely with OneTen’s Chief Strategy Officer to build and scale a learning function that empowers coalition partners, employers, and talent developers. The Director will be instrumental in creating scalable learning models, content, and experiences that advance OneTen’s skills-first mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage innovative training programs for coalition members, employers, and talent developers.
- Create scalable and effective learning solutions across multiple modalities (virtual, in-person, hybrid).
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align learning strategy with organizational goals and OneTen’s broader mission.
- Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of learning programs, ensuring they drive measurable results.
- Serve as a thought leader, staying current on trends and innovations in workforce development, L&D technology, and instructional design.
Required Competencies and Skills
- Facilitation and presentation skills, particularly for partner and employer audiences.
- Strong instructional design expertise with experience developing both in-person and virtual learning experiences.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and simplify complex ideas.
- Proven track record in creating and delivering impactful training programs.
- Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Ability to measure training effectiveness and apply data to improve programs.
Preferred Skills
- Experience building L&D functions in mission-driven or start-up environments.
- Familiarity with workforce development or coalition-based learning initiatives.
