Job Summary/Basic Functions
The University of Mary Washington has an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Director of Regional Partnerships. The Director of Regional Partnerships will collaborate with the VEDP Regional Internship Manger and work with a group representing the work-based learning ecosystem. Specifically, the director will convene a subgroup of career development professionals in the higher education institutions located within the region. This group will champion strengthening and growing educational support and development of students as they prepare to enter and thrive in internships within the region. This regional role will work to connect employers to students and assure readiness of employers, students, and institutions to significantly increase the number of high-quality paid internships and other work-based learning opportunities within GO Virginia Region 6. This position is grant funded, through October 31, 2026.
Required KSAs/Competencies/Qualifications
Self-motivated, excellent oral, written and digital communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders including faculty and university staff; Strong organizational, planning, and project management skillsAbility to self-manage, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision

Required Experience: Experience collecting and analyzing with dataExperience with fiscal/budget managementDemonstrated experience building, working in, and motivating diverse working groups and teams.
