Director, Performance Marketing
Marketing - Columbia, Maryland (Hybrid)
The Director, Performance Marketing will be responsible for the development, execution, and optimization of both paid and organic digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth for IronCircle. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution across multiple digital channels, including but not limited to paid search, social media, SEO, content marketing, and email campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performance digital marketing teams, working with cross-functional stakeholders, and driving measurable results in a fast-paced and competitive landscape.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Planning:
- Develop and execute the overall digital marketing strategy to drive qualified leads and brand visibility in the cybersecurity training market.
- Set clear, measurable KPIs aligned with business goals and ensure performance tracking across all digital channels.
- Lead the integration of paid and organic marketing efforts to provide a seamless customer journey from awareness to conversion.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Paid Media (PPC, Display, Social, etc.):
- Lead the strategy and execution of paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.), display advertising, retargeting, and social media ads (Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, etc.).
- Continuously optimize paid campaigns to maximize ROI, improve conversion rates, and lower customer acquisition costs (CAC).
- Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize digital marketing spend.
- SEO & Organic Growth:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy focused on increasing organic traffic, improving rankings, and driving conversions.
- Oversee keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and link-building efforts.
- Work closely with content and product teams to ensure a consistent SEO-driven approach across all web assets and learning modules.
- Analytics & Reporting:
- Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, HubSpot, etc.) to monitor performance and adjust campaigns as necessary.
- Provide regular reporting on key metrics (traffic, lead generation, conversion rates, etc.) and actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Conduct A/B testing and data-driven analysis to optimize campaign performance and content engagement.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing digital marketing team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented culture.
- Work cross-functionally with content, sales, product, and design teams to ensure alignment on goals, messaging, and deliverables.
- Ensure smooth communication and alignment with the executive team regarding campaign progress and results.
Experience/Skills Required
- 7+ years of digital marketing experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing both paid and organic digital marketing campaigns (PPC, SEO, content, social media, email, etc.) with measurable results.
- Experience in the cybersecurity, technology, or education industry is a plus.
- Expertise in Google Ads, Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other paid platforms.
- Deep understanding of SEO best practices, tools, and analytics.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
- Ability to develop and manage comprehensive content marketing strategies.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Marketo).
- A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) experience.
- Leadership experience, including team building, mentoring, and performance management.
