Team Overview

Our Marketing team leads, develops, and executes PowerSchool’s global marketing initiatives. Responsible for brand, corporate communications, demand-generation, and product marketing, the team works across all major marketing functions to drive alignment of the organization’s messages across all channels to ensure we meet our sales targets.

PowerSchool is evolving how we go to market, organizing around Impact Centers that align our solutions to the real priorities of districts, schools, and educators. We are looking for a dynamic Director of Product Marketing to lead one of these Impact Centers and shape how PowerSchool delivers and communicates value across an aligned set of solution areas.

 

This Director of Product Marketing role is both strategic and hands-on. You will own the go-to-market narrative for your Impact Center, centering our story on customer value and the educational outcomes our solutions help make possible. You will lead and mentor a team of product marketers, partner deeply across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Enablement, and Marketing, and move with urgency to turn strategy into action.

Key Responsbilities

  • Own and evolve the Impact Center narrative, clearly articulating how PowerSchool helps customers achieve their priorities and improve educational outcomes.
  • Develop value-driven positioning that connects product capabilities to real-world use cases, impact, and results for districts and schools.
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy across aligned solution areas, ensuring consistency, clarity, and momentum across launches, campaigns, and sales motions.
  • Partner closely with Product Management to influence roadmap storytelling, prioritize market-facing announcements, and align on investment focus.
  • Serve as a primary cross-functional leader and collaborator for Sales, Solution Engineering, Customer Experience, Enablement, Brand, and Demand Marketing.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Product Marketers, setting clear priorities and raising the bar on execution, storytelling, and impact.
  • Roll up your sleeves as needed, jumping into narratives, launches, or customer-facing work when urgency or complexity demands it.
  • Track and communicate Impact Center performance, including pipeline influence, adoption, engagement, and brand impact.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, solution marketing, or related go-to-market roles.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing product marketing teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with a bias toward action and execution.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills, with the ability to connect product value to customer outcomes and organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally and influencing without authority.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-product or platform-based organizations.
  • SaaS experience, education technology preferred but not required.

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $153,800 - $192,300 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
