How you'll contribute to our mission:
As Director of Solutions Architecture, you will lead presales solution strategy and execution for Frontline’s Human Capital Management and Special Programs businesses, ensuring districts understand what is possible with Frontline and how our solutions translate into measurable outcomes for educators and students.
 
Reporting to the Senior Director of Solutions Architecture, you will lead a team of Solutions Architects while partnering closely with Sales and cross functional teams to bring clarity, confidence, and insight to every stage of the customer journey. You will serve as a key scaling leader as the Solutions Architecture organization evolves toward an enterprise and regionalized coverage model, including cross training and consistent standards across solution areas.
 
How you'll drive success:
Lead HCM and Special Programs solutions architecture execution:
  • Own presales execution quality for HCM and Special Programs opportunities, including discovery, solution alignment, and demonstration strategy.
  • Ensure consistent value storytelling that connects district needs to outcomes, ROI, and measurable impact.
  • Stay engaged in high impact pursuits, providing guidance and escalation support on complex evaluations
Scale enterprise and regionalized solutions architecture coverage:
  • Translate national Solutions Architecture strategy into clear regional or segment execution plans aligned to sales priorities.
  • Help design and operationalize a regionalized coverage model that scales enterprise solution architecture across territories.
  • Drive cross training and readiness so teams can support platform and multi solution pursuits as Frontline scales.
Lead and develop a high performing team:
  • Lead and support a team of Solutions Architects, creating an environment focused on coaching, growth, collaboration, and high quality delivery.
  • Drive performance management, skill development, and promotion readiness across the team.
  • Establish clear expectations for discovery quality, demo readiness, technical credibility, and follow through.
Partner with Sales leaders to improve win rates and execution:
  • Partner with Regional Sales Directors, Account Executives, and Strategic Account Executives to support territory planning, strategic pursuits, and complex opportunities.
  • Reinforce consistent presales operating rhythm, including deal reviews, demo readiness, and prioritization.
  • Ensure the right internal resources are engaged on the right deals at the right time.
Strengthen alignment across the customer lifecycle:
  • Collaborate with Product, Professional Services, Client Success, and Support to ensure consistent alignment from evaluation through onboarding and adoption.
  • Bring forward field insights including customer feedback, product gaps, and emerging needs to inform improvements and prioritization.
  • Ensure presales expectations are accurate and set customers up for long term success
Drive standards, assets, and continuous improvement:
  • Strengthen consistency by reinforcing best practices for discovery, solution design, and storytelling.
  • Partner with enablement to improve field readiness, reusable assets, and consistent messaging.
  • Use data and modern tools to understand performance trends, improve planning, and support more informed decisions.
  • Contribute to a culture where teams learn continuously, test new approaches, and apply technology thoughtfully
Represent Frontline in key engagements and events:
  • Represent Frontline in customer conversations, regional events, and key engagements to build trust and long-term relationships.
  • Support customer facing workshops and strategic sessions that elevate Frontline credibility and impact.

What you bring to help us grow:
  • Experience in presales, solutions architecture, or technical sales, with meaningful time leading or mentoring teams.
  • Strong foundation in SaaS, education technology, or enterprise software environments.
  • Understanding of K-12 education systems and how districts evaluate and adopt technology.
  • Strength in discovery, solution alignment, and supporting complex evaluations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to connect customer needs to outcome-based narratives that reflect both technical capability and real-world impact.
  • Confidence communicating with technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to interpret data and insights to inform strategy and improve execution.
  • Familiarity with modern presales and sales tools and workflows.
  • Willingness to travel 10 to 20% as needed.

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation range of $160-180,000.00 with OTE of $60-80,000.00 aligned to the scope of the role, including incentive opportunities.
