 Position Description 
Advertised Job Summary  | Reporting to the Assistant Dean, the Director of Student Support Services will provide leadership, direction and development for student affairs for USC Salkehatchie with two campuses located in Allendale and Walterboro SC. Functional areas include registration, counseling, retention and student support services, orientation, tutoring and academic advising. Will serve on the campus student care and outreach team and coordinate retention efforts utilizing an early alert protocol.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience  | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials  | N/A
Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s Degree and 1-3 years experience in a related field with managerial experience. Advanced knowledge of and experience in an educational institution.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities  | Knowledge and practical use of policies and procedures related to student affairs.

Job Duty  | Staff Supervision & Leadership: Supervise two full-time academic advisors, each responsible for a caseload of 85–100 students across two campus locations. Ensure advisors provide early alert intervention, transfer assistance, and manage Student Success Center Labs and associated programs. Supervise a full-time coordinator of student life responsible for: Campus engagement activities. Student conduct processes. New student orientation. Advising the Student Government Association.
