McGraw-Hill School Education, the leading provider of print and digital educational materials for Grades K-12, is looking for a (District) (South TX) K-12 District Sales Manager. How Can You Make an Impact:
As a District Sales manager (K-12 Sales), you’ll be responsible for overseeing and driving sales performance within South Texas. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing a team of sales individuals, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets and revenue goals. The District Sales Manager will provide coaching, training, and support to the sales team, helping them improve their skills and performance.

Candidates must reside in San Antonio or Corpus Christi. This position requires 75%+ of travel in your territory with some overnights needed. Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

What you will be doing:
  • Drive K-12 core, intervention and specialized market sales revenue through leading/coaching a team of sales professionals.
  • Travel weekly with members of your sales team to support development and implementation of sales plans and strategies.
  • Establish effective working relationships with key educational officials and other VIP's in your territory.
  • Demonstrate effective personnel management. Hire, train, motivate and manage assigned Sales Reps.
  • Develop and allocate regional sales goals/expense budgets accurately and appropriately to sales staff.
  • Forecast regional sales results monthly and communicate through data all inventory needs regularly and accurately.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to internal stakeholders on product needs, market conditions, promotional activities, business opportunities, sales trends, and competition strategies/activities. 
 
We're looking for someone with: 
  • 5+ years current knowledge, experience, success in K-12 educational sales 
  • Experience and understanding of educational technology environment – technical integration into current curriculum/assessment models at district level
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite, web based presentation tools, sales contact management systems (SalesForce.com)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze/forecast sales, manage/deploy sales budget, maximize ROI
  • Previous success in building/managing a team; strong training/development skills  
  • Proven results in market research driven knowledge creating industry leading product development  
  • Desire to extensively travel territory developing sales team and key customers to determine their needs
  • Reside within TX
  • Bachelor's degree minimum
  • Position involves overnight travel; up to 70% travel
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

The pay for this position is $107,000-$148,000 annually, however, base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sales commission plan will be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
