Scope of Job  | To provide support in the operation, coordination, and delivery of workforce and economic development programs and projects. To support the goals of UTRGV’s Office of Workforce and Economic Development working closely with stakeholders, businesses, and individuals to provide training programs, individualized coaching, and technical assistance

Description of Duties  | Develops, plans and coordinates the execution of training programs for participants and clients. Provides support in the operation, coordination and delivery of training programs for workforce and economic development programs and projects. Provides oversight and support to assigned programs, facilities, and projects related to workforce and economic development. Collaborates with participants/clients to create targeted learning initiatives aligned with the business objectives and develop appropriate content. Plans, develops, and prepares training curriculums, materials, surveys, and reports for the programs assigned. Provides coaching, technical assistance, and training to clients, participants, and stakeholders for the attainment of goals and objectives. Responsible for performing activities to promote workforce and economic development outreach and awareness of services through a variety of methods including marketing research, partnership development, presentations, networking, and other events/activities across the community. Recommends policies and procedures for improvement of training programs, facilities, and program functions. Prepares reports and maintains related documentation of services to ensure compliance with reporting, performance, legal and confidentiality policies. Prepares technical documents, cost estimates, program proposals, and evaluation outcome reports. Collaborates with clients, university departments, resource partners, external agencies, and related sponsors, committees, and/or associations. · Builds and maintains customer relations and acts as liaison between the customers and other university entities. Attends professional development trainings, seminars, and conferences, and stays abreast of training trends, tools and best practices. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education  | Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management and Entrepreneurship, Communications, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or other related field from an accredited University.
Preferred Education  | Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited university.
Licenses/Certifications  | None.
Required Experience  | Three (3) years of experience performing job-related duties such as developing and facilitating training and or project management.
Preferred Experience  | Business operations management experience. Bilingual (English / Spanish)
Equipment  | Use of standard office machines.
Working Conditions  | Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Work is performed primarily in a general office environment. Some travel and weekend work is required. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which may require presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of completion simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to large audiences.
