The Education Finance Counselor will provide unbiased, expert guidance to families and learners on understanding education financing options. This includes monitoring industry trends, researching best practices, and developing strategies to help manage education costs effectively. The Education Finance Counselor will contribute to the team’s collective knowledge to ensure high-quality counseling and support for Bright Horizons benefit users.

This is a Remote position available in the United States.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert, unbiased guidance on education financing options and strategies to minimize out-of-pocket costs
  • Counsel families and learners through individualized sessions, delivering clear, actionable advice tailored to their goals
  • Monitor industry trends and policy changes to ensure accurate, up-to-date guidance
  • Deliver exceptional client experiences through stellar customer service, timely communication, and well-prepared strategies
  • Manage administrative tasks necessary for effective service delivery, including documentation and scheduling
  • Advise adult learners on maximizing employer tuition assistance benefits and aligning educational goals with available resources
  • Educate clients on financial literacy and budgeting strategies for working adults
  • Develop plans for financing short-term certifications, graduate programs, and workforce education pathways

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years of professional experience in Education Finance
  • At this time, Bright Horizons will not sponsor an applicant for employment authorization/visa for this position

  • Strong understanding of education financing concepts; ability to analyze complex scenarios and present clear, actionable solutions
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex topics in simple, understandable terms
  • Impeccable organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and .web-based platforms
  • Strong research, editing, and writing skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure, manage expectations, and work independently while contributing to team success
  • Experience with employer tuition assistance programs and compliance processes
  • Ability to educate working adults on budgeting, financial literacy, and cost-management strategies
  • Familiarity with short-term certifications, stackable credentials, and strategies for aligning educational goals with employer benefits

Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 – $70,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements and accrual schedules, new employees in this role receive up to: 9 paid holidays annually; 40 hours of sick time per year based on full-time schedule, and 80 hours of vacation time per year based on full-time schedule (vacation time may be used for sick leave purposes under any applicable state or local sick or safe time law).
