PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Plan, develop, implement and coordinate academic curriculum and clinical training programs for associates with no previous EEG or Neurodiagnostic experience. Aid the development of the educational program and provide instruction for new clinicians to meet the organization's competency requirements for certified staff and accreditation standards, as well as promoting an environment of quality care for patients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


·         Aid in the development and lead the implementation of the assigned clinical education program to achieve high impact and significant advancement in clinical performance.
·         Support the preparation, development and revision of didactic and practicum materials for trainees at the entry level.
·         Measure and evaluate the value or impact of learning and performance solutions and recommends overall measures of system effectiveness; leverage findings for improvement and provide recommendations for change.
·         Supervise trainees rotating through the training program and participate in the recruitment and hiring process.
·         Maintain SpecialtyCare’s service line training handbook and manage the progress and clinical contributions/productivity of trainees.
·         Manage assignments as needed for Regional Training Coordinators and Clinical Instructors including:
o   local orientation for trainees
o   submission of documentation for credentialing, HR and local hospital access 
o   assignment of LMS modules
o   hardware and software training
o   delivery of lectures and training in person and via webinars
o   in person assessments
o   administration of written and practicum exams
o   administration of competency assessments
o   provision of quality oversight measures (in person &/or remotely)
·         Assist in preparation of trainees for credentialing exams by tracking and reporting pass/fail rates for the certification examination(s).
·         Provide counseling and feedback to trainees to ensure successful development of clinical skills.
·         Support leadership in the preparation of programs for recently hired associates who may require additional didactic coursework and/or practical experience before taking on full-time clinical duties.
·         Support leadership in the preparation of supplemental training programs for experienced associates who have identified practice gaps.
·         Support leadership in the preparation of clinical training programs for the purpose of advancing skill sets.
·         Serves as an educational resource and role model, and provide leadership in fulfilling SpecialtyCare’s mission of quality patient care.
·         Participate in SpecialtyCare meetings that relate to clinical education activities.
  • Attend national symposia to assess SpecialtyCare’s educational curriculum, regularly.
·         Duties will be split between education and personal productivity as determined by operational need and at the discretion of leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


Education:
·         Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
·         Current Registered EEG Technician (R.EEG T)
·         Current Certification Neurophysiologic Long-Term Monitoring (CLTM) or eligible
·         Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience:
·         Six (6) or more years of related clinical experience inclusive of teaching/clinical instruction and administrative/management in Neurodiagnostics, .
·         Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and/or Emergency Medical Unit (EMU) experience, preferred.
·         Equivalent combination of education and experience, acceptable.
