Position Summary
The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Training and Implementation Specialist will focus on training, strategies, techniques, interventions, and best practices for training on the use of the EHR throughout Rosecrance. This position will also be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality team-based training for employees including leadership and new hires, grounded in applicable state and federal regulations. The EHR Training and Implementation Specialist is vital Rosecrance’s organizational knowledge and utilization of EHR technology and plays a key role in future projects and implementations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Demonstrated experience in behavioral health services
• Exceptional oral and written presentation and instructional skills
• Possess strong organizational and time management abilities
• Demonstrated experience using EHR with excellent computer and technology proficiency in operating software applications
• Working knowledge of applicable State and Federal rules and regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential; adept at collaborating across departments and engaging with employees at all levels
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
Responsibilities:
1. Work scheduled hours and any additional hours deemed necessary by leadership. Some variation in scheduled hours as well as travel between sites and regions may be required to meet company needs.
2. Partner with various internal stakeholders on EHR based projects and to determine current training needs.
3. Provide training support for EHR roll outs, projects, and implementations.
4. Coordinate and schedule centralized trainings with predetermined groups of staff.
5. Facilitate core/centralized training topics and sessions.
6. Create clear, relevant objectives and learning goals for all projects.
7. Use of a variety of appropriate techniques to engage adult learners.
8. Enter training credit into the Learning Management System (LMS).
9. Use of instructional design software(s) to develop training content.
10. Design and develop training sessions/training content for a variety of delivery methods: electronic, in-person, virtual, blended, video based, etc.
11. Development of supplemental training manuals, job aids, resources & materials.
12. Create, coordinate and implement innovative and interesting training and education opportunities to enhance the competencies and skills of staff with regard to the EHR.
13. Demonstrates strong customer service skills that incorporate the 5 tenets of the Rosecrance Way into daily practices and interactions with all stakeholders.
14. Exhibits actions and makes decisions that align with the Rosecrance Code of Conduct and within the framework of the law
15. Serve as a role model to others and demonstrate excellent company stewardship.
16. Serve as a member of the team, and participate in all team meetings, duties and activities as assigned.
17. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

- Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
- Shift: 1st shift

Compensation:
Base Pay: (pay is based on education and experience)
- Chicago Starting Pay: $80,600/year
- Rockford Starting Pay: $66,622.40/year
