Job Description:
Engineering Technical Services (ETS) at the Fulton Schools of Engineering is seeking an Endpoint Management Administrator to help modernize and scale endpoint and instructional computing services supporting students, faculty, and staff.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys automation, cloud platforms, and improving how systems operate at scale.  You will work across Windows, Linux, and cloud-based instructional platforms, contributing directly to student success, classroom reliability, and enterprise IT modernization efforts.

This role focuses on configuration automation, compliance, lifecycle management, and integration of endpoint services to support institutional security, reliability, and scalability objectives.

The position directly supports strategic initiatives including the migration from SCCM to Intune, maturation of Linux automation through Ansible, and sustained delivery of cloud-based instructional computing leveraging the Apporto platform.

Position Salary Range:
  • $66,200 - $82,000 annually, DOE
Essential Duties:
  • Modern Endpoint Management
    • Administer enterprise Tier 2 configuration management for FSE endpoint environments across Windows (SCCM/Intune) and Linux (Ansible)
    • Manage device configuration, patching, application delivery, and compliance controls
    • Support full endpoint lifecycle: provisioning, updates, remediation, and decommissioning
    • Help drive migration to modern endpoint management (Intune) and automation-first practices
  • Produce operational and compliance reporting to support audits and service health monitoring.
  • Cloud & Instructional Computing
    • Support cloud-based lab environments (Apporto) used across 150+ courses
    • Manage images, application stacks, and customized academic environments
    • Monitor performance and capacity to ensure a reliable classroom experience
    • Partner with faculty and support teams to resolve Tier 2 issues impacting teaching and learning
  • Automation & Continuous Improvement
    • Develop automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python to support endpoint operations.
    • Improve workflows to reduce manual effort and increase consistency
    • Contribute to CI/CD-style practices for configuration and deployment
    • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and enhance scalability
    • Support integrations with academic platforms such as Canvas and related instructional tooling.
      • Build dashboards and reports to track service health, compliance, capacity planning and usage trends
      • Support audit readiness through improved visibility and documentation
      • Collaborate with enterprise IT and school IT teams to align standards and services
      • Create documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base content to support team success

Desired Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience administering enterprise endpoint environments, including Windows (SCCM and/or Intune) and Linux (Ansible) systems.
  • Experience with configuration management, patching, application deployment, and endpoint compliance enforcement.
  • Experience administering cloud‑based instructional computing platforms (e.g., virtual desktops, academic lab environments).
  • Familiarity with Canvas or other academic platform integrations supporting instructional technology.
  • Experience using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python to support system administration tasks.
  • Experience building dashboards, compliance reports, or operational metrics to support capacity planning and service improvement.

Working Environment:
  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular activities with quickly changing priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • Position may involve shared offices, telecommuting, and working at Polytechnic Campus as needed
  • Some nights and weekends are required for User Acceptance Testing and Product updates
