Description of Work  | The Raikes School Engineering and Technology Education Lead collaborates with Design Studio staff and Capstone Project Sponsor technical contacts to assess and define hardware, software, and data needs for capstone projects. This role is responsible for establishing initial technical requirements and providing ongoing support for projects throughout each project’s lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include supporting the onboarding of annual capstone projects; serving as a technical advisor and resource for student teams in partnership with other Design Studio staff; procuring and managing IT equipment inventory; manage software-as-a-service (SaaS) usage and expenditures; and coordinating and executing the technical components of annual Design Studio and Raikes School events.

In addition to supporting the Raikes School Design Studio capstone program, the Engineering and Technology Education Lead provides technical support across the Raikes School. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administering cloud-based services, source control systems, and collaboration platforms. This position serves as the primary administrator of the Raikes School website and acts as the technical liaison between the Raikes School and University ITS and audio-visual teams.

Minimum Required Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related technical field and one (1) year of experience in IT services management, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage/prioritize tasks. Evidence of excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to network and build relationships with community and institutional partners. Familiar with modern software development tools and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications  | Experience working with students or mentoring. Experience working in higher education.
