As an innovative thinking Engineering Learning and Development Leader, you will drive global capability upskilling, continuous improvements and compliance in new and core engineering disciplines by partnering with PD in Product Creation & Industrialization organizations to conduct comprehensive needs analyses, understand industry trends, design annual training strategies and implementation tactics. 

Leveraging your strong technical engineering background, you will evaluate learning content for accuracy, collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to build relevant curricula, and act as the business owner for enterprise eLearning platforms including Udemy and Coursera. You will spearhead the development and deployment of learning analytics dashboards for over 20,000 global employees, overseeing the migration of conventional metrics to cloud-first solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Additionally, you will coordinate end-to-end training logistics and tracking to ensure audit-ready compliance while collaborating with global regions, academic institutions, and external organizations to secure advanced training and funding opportunities.

  • Key contributor to overall organizational Problem Solving and core capability upskilling and improvements
  • Manage Learning Analytics Development and Dashboard Deployment to serve over 20, 000 global employees
  • Manage GCP Onboarding to convert conventional metrics to Cloud First Solution for Learning Analytics reporting and dashboards
  • Manage eLearning investments and act as Ford Business Owner for enterprise invested Platforms (currently Udemy Business, Coursera, ThORS)
  • Evaluate technical engineering learning content for relevance and accuracy with strong engineering background & expertise Manage cross-functional teams to develop and deploy a learning and development plan based on the Product Development Competency Framework (PDCF) and TMM.
  • Partner with assigned PD functional organizations to understand/address learning needs and manage cross-functional objectives
  • Work with assigned PD functional organizations to ensure relevance of technical learning.Communicate gaps in learning solutions and resources to global Engineering L&D Team for resolution
  • Lead the annual needs analysis with assigned PD functional organizations to support budget development and catalog of learning solutions for the following year
  • Support the development of new courses by identifying Subject Matter Experts (SME's) in assigned PD functional organization to develop and review course material 
  • Partner with all other regions to ensure an aligned PD L&D and PDCF/TMM deployment
  • Manage collaboration with external learning institutions and organizations including academia, professional societies, other companies and government agencies to ensure advanced technical training development and funding opportunities are realized

You'll have...

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Engineering, or other related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in Product Development or a related engineering field.
  • Experience of understanding organizational learning needs, identifying gaps, managing training and developing employees

Work Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneNote)

  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to move projects from ambiguity to execution.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100. 
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
