The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of Full-Stack Engineers within our Go Enterprise product area. Go is Superhuman’s proactive AI assistant that understands context and delivers help automatically wherever people work. As Superhuman continues to expand its Enterprise footprint, your team will be at the center of building the product experiences and infrastructure that help large organizations securely adopt, manage, and scale Go.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team building Go’s Enterprise capabilities, including admin and security controls, enterprise-grade integrations, and deployment and provisioning experiences.
  • Partner closely with Enterprise customers and prospects—including IT, security, and admin stakeholders—to deeply understand their needs and bring those insights back into the product.
  • Enable safe, compliant AI adoption at scale, ensuring that Enterprise organizations can confidently roll out Go while meeting their security, privacy, and governance requirements.
  • Drive execution across the stack: from building secure and reliable back-end systems and APIs to supporting rich, intuitive interfaces for admins and end users.
  • Collaborate deeply with cross-functional partners across Product, Design, Sales, Customer Success, and Security to shape the Go Enterprise roadmap and deliver impactful solutions that unlock large-scale deployments.
  • Shape the future of Enterprise AI at Superhuman, influencing our long-term technical and product strategy for how Go is adopted by global organizations.

As an Engineering Manager, you will help create the conditions for innovation in Go: setting clear direction, removing obstacles, and coaching your team to do the best work of their careers. The complexity of our technical challenges is growing rapidly as we scale our interfaces, algorithms, and infrastructure for Enterprise environments. Within our growing engineering organization, there is plenty of room for ownership and direct impact on how millions of Enterprise users experience Go.

Qualifications

  • Bring at least three years of experience managing software engineering teams, in addition to a strong foundation as an individual contributor building full-stack or back-end systems.
  • Have meaningful experience in Enterprise product development—for example, building features for admins, security, and IT; working with concepts like SSO/SCIM, role-based access, data governance, and compliance; or shipping products that must satisfy Enterprise buyers and procurement.
  • Are comfortable engaging directly with Enterprise buyers and stakeholders, including administrators, security, and IT personnel: you can join customer calls, ask the right questions, translate requirements into product and technical work, and represent your team with clarity and confidence.
  • Display excellent software engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and system design, and can guide your team toward sound technical decisions.
  • Have experience building, deploying, and operating production systems at scale, ideally in environments with high availability and strict reliability and security expectations.
  • Are ready to tackle infrastructure and platform challenges when needed, collaborating with infrastructure and security partners to ensure Go Enterprise capabilities are robust, observable, and secure.
  • Know modern web development and testing practices well enough to coach and unblock your team across both front-end and back-end work.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and people-management skills: you’ve hired, onboarded, and coached engineers; given clear feedback; and helped shape a healthy, inclusive team culture.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, results-driven environments, where you balance long-term architectural investments with near-term delivery against Enterprise customer needs.
  • Care deeply about user and admin experience, and partner with Design and Product to ensure that what you ship is not only powerful and secure, but also intuitive and delightful.
  • Work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manage your team’s priorities across multiple projects, and communicate clearly with stakeholders across the organization.

We invite you to share your knowledge, Enterprise experience, and goals with us to help us find the best team match for you on the Go Enterprise team. Tell us your superpower!
