The Opportunity
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for an SRE Manager to lead our Infrastructure Team. This role will be hands-on as we build out an SRE team at Grammarly and involve all phases of the SRE lifecycle, from planning to incident management.

As an Engineering Manager, SRE, you will
  • Grow the existing team by hiring people.
  • Develop plans to support Grammarly’s roadmap and scale our cloud infrastructure to keep pace with the load.
  • Coordinate with all engineering teams to provide them with the services needed to run their systems.
  • Provide support and visibility for enterprise customers via SLOs and incident reports.

Qualifications
  • Has 5+ years of experience as an SRE and 2+ years of experience managing a team of SREs and DevOps.
  • Familiar with at least one of AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Support incidents as an Incident Commander.
  • Familiar with the SRE software lifecycle.
  • Experience managing people remotely.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or another equivalent container management system.
  • Willing to get our hands dirty in scaling our software stack.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.
Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.

Zone 1: $260,000  – $340,000/year (USD)
