POSITION SPECIFICS
We are searching for a highly motivated, self-starting Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to join our Agile Systems Engineering (ASE) Department in the Material Manufacturing and Sustainment Office (MMSO) at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State. ASE Department's mission focal point is the research, design and application of engineering development methodologies supporting the strategic advancement of warfighter capability at the speed of relevance. The focus is on rapid development of complex engineering systems requiring the integration of cross-disciplinary solutions and expertise.

You Will:
- Utilize project management strategies for implementing project requirements; collaborate with investigators to develop, execute, and update the project plan; monitor and facilitate technical project execution, milestones, and deliverables
- Work closely with Program Managers, Lead Systems Engineers, and Principal Investigators to help ensure timely execution of project management activities and to help ensure smooth project execution
- Analyze program costs, schedules, and milestones to assess risk and manage any change to program deliverables
- Develop and manage technical and financial status reports and technical data package documentation for both internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in creating and reviewing presentations and reports while ensuring a range of products and accommodations are in place to support project execution
- Indirect supervisor for other full-time employees
- May serve as direct supervisor for part-time, student, and/or temporary workers, volunteers, or a full-time employee
Required skills/experience include:
- Microsoft applications
- Project Management fundamental concepts and their application to real-world projects
- Independent work on moderately complex work assignments, reviews progress, and evaluate results
- May set priorities and organize work within general guidelines established by supervisor
- May review the work of others to verify accuracy and conformance to required procedures and special instructions
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
Preferred skills/experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Visio
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- FFRDC, UARC, or other Government Laboratory experience
- Current eligibility for access to classified information at the Secret level or higher and may be subject to a government background investigation to upgrade clearance eligibility, if required

SALARY & BENEFITSThe salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $97,100.00 - $145,700.00.**THE PROPOSED SALARY RANGE MAY BE IMPACTED BY GEOGRAPHIC DIFFERENTIAL**
