The Impact You Will Have:
The Enterprise Technical Architect is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, integrated solutions across Crucial Learning’s enterprise systems, with a focus on Salesforce, NetSuite, and middleware. This is a hands-on role, accountable for delivering complex solutions that span multiple platforms and requires deep technical expertise.
You will work closely with developers, product owners, and product platform engineering teams to lead architectural and technical design, define system interfaces, and translate business needs into working solutions. Your contributions will stabilize and accelerate delivery, reduce complexity, and support enterprise growth through secure, reliable, high-quality, and maintainable architecture.
You demonstrate strong architectural judgment and hands-on execution across Salesforce, NetSuite, and middleware solutions. You bring deep expertise in integration design, data modeling, API strategy, CPQ and lead-to-cash workflows. You translate objectives into scalable solutions, document decisions and patterns, and uphold standards for security, performance, and maintainability. You mentor teammates, establish best practices, and prepare for the upcoming platform-Salesforce integrations. You communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences and consistently ground architectural decisions in business context, ensuring solutions directly support strategic objectives and related operational goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Architect and implement cross-system solutions across Salesforce, NetSuite, and Boomi with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and business value
- Lead technical solutioning for initiatives with deep dependencies across lead-to-cash workflows, CPQ, and financial systems
- Translate business goals and process flows into clear, performant architecture plans and technical specifications
- Serve as the primary technical partner for product owners on roadmap delivery, backlog grooming, and technical trade-off decisions
- Collaborate with product platform engineering teams to plan and execute future Salesforce platform integrations
- Design and document reusable integration patterns, data models, and interface contracts across systems
- Develop and implement APIs and integrations, owning the delivery of critical components and partnering with developers for execution
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system interaction issues, including performance bottlenecks, data integrity challenges, and orchestration conflicts
- Establish architectural governance practices, including documentation standards, version control for integration artifacts, and design review processes
- Define and maintain a long-term architectural vision that anticipates future-state business needs, scalability, and innovation
- Mentor technical team members and promote consistent architectural thinking and solution quality across delivery teams
What You’ll Need:
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable, cross-platform solutions and lead architectural decision-making during system migrations, mergers, and platform transformations
- Demonstrated success in technical leadership, with 5+ years mentoring developers, influencing best practices, guiding multi-team delivery in Agile environments, and collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to deliver measurable results
- A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability in driving solutions from concept to production
- Strong background in data modeling, interface design, SaaS architecture, and reusable integration patterns across business units
- 3+ years designing and implementing APIs, including orchestration, data synchronization, and enterprise integration patterns, with a focus on performance and maintainability
- 7+ years designing and delivering scalable enterprise solutions, including 5+ years with middleware/integration platforms (Boomi preferred)
- 5+ years working with relational databases
- 5+ years of Apex development experience (Java experience a plus)
- 7+ years of Salesforce experience, including CPQ and lead-to-cash workflows; experience with Salesforce Community architecture and back-end development, as well as integration with third-party tax systems (Avalara preferred), is a plus
- 10 or more years of hands-on experience with NetSuite architecture, customization, and system integrations, including advanced SuiteScript development
- Experience with single sign-on solutions (Auth0 preferred) and cloud-based integration or automation platforms (such as Zapier or Workato) is a plus, particularly in designing secure, scalable authentication and workflow automation
- Must be able to attend in-person events at least once a year
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
