Job Title: Epic Patient Access–Revenue Cycle eLearning Instructional Designer
Employment Type: Contract
Hourly Rate: $70–$80 per hour
Location: Remote (with potential for occasional travel)

Position Summary:
The Epic Patient Access–Revenue Cycle eLearning Instructional Designer will support system-wide educational initiatives by designing, developing, and delivering technical eLearning content for Epic applications. This role is responsible for translating complex technical processes into effective and engaging training modules using industry-standard instructional design principles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with eLearning software, Epic applications, and adult learning methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop technical eLearning and instructor-led training programs for Epic Patient Access and Revenue Cycle applications.
- Apply instructional systems design (ISD) principles and adult learning techniques to create impactful content.
- Collaborate with project teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to gather content and ensure accuracy.
- Utilize tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Microsoft Office Suite to create online training modules.
- Edit, splice, and enhance voiceover audio for eLearning courses.
- Manage content in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and ensure quality and consistency across all deliverables.
- Assess usability and training effectiveness through feedback and data analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Education, Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare, or related field, or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
- Epic certification (in at least one application) required
- Minimum 5 years of experience teaching technical systems and curriculum development.
- At least 2 years of experience developing eLearning modules for technical systems.
- Minimum 1 year of experience creating instructor-led technical training content.
- 2+ years of healthcare experience required.
- Proficiency in Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ability to work collaboratively, manage priorities, and adapt to evolving project needs.

- Understanding of medical terminology and Epic workflows.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
- Ability to support learners with diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
