Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials | Preferred Qualifications | Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | Thorough knowledge of University Policy & Procedures and functions. Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills required. High level of organizational skills. Ability to maintain flexibility and professional image while providing leadership to the Office of the Provost under stressful conditions, deadlines, and constant changing schedules.
Job Duties
Job Duty | Executes complex and confidential administrative support functions for and on behalf of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. Communicates independently, on a daily basis, both written and orally with diverse individuals both internally and externally, including but not limited to the Office of the President, the Board of Trustees, other University administrators, faculty, staff, students and parents. Requires some availability outside of normal office hours as necessary. The position coordinates and collaborates on special initiatives for the Provost. Examples include facilitating the assembly and dissemination of organizational metrics used in dean and unit leader performance reviews, coordination and communication of the academic colleges blueprint process and oversight of executive level search activities. Researches, compiles and organizes materials for meetings, events and speaking engagements. Prepares the agenda, meeting materials and minutes for the Council of Academic Deans monthly meetings.
