Core Responsibilities
- This is a remote position that will supervise retail partners within the Northeast region and will require up to 50% travel.
- Encourage and empower the team with a compelling vision and clear direction, integrating core values into all aspects of operations.
- Set clear expectations for Team Leads and Merchandisers, holding them accountable for achieving brand standards and performance metrics.
- Cultivate collaboration with internal partners in sales, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment on retail strategies and effective execution.
- Identify, develop, and retain talent within the region, creating effective succession plans that facilitate internal talent mobility and career growth.
- Provide training and mentorship to Team Leads, developing tailored development plans that improve their skills and capabilities.
- Apply data-driven insights to analyze team performance and find opportunities for revenue enhancement and profitability improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement retail strategies that improve product visibility and drive sales growth.
- Establish and lead the execution of regional business strategies aimed at achieving key performance indicators and achieving results.
- Communicate field intelligence and insights to the organization, supporting informed decision-making and company initiatives.
- Maintain expertise in industry trends, retail operations, competitive landscape, and merchandising best practices to inform strategic decisions.
- Champion operational excellence and effective execution across the US market, ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives.

The National Merchandising Team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional retail merchandising services to major retailers, including Target and Walmart, as well as other key national and regional customers across the United States. With a vision to connect shoppers with a brand they love, the team is dedicated to providing quality, creative, and impactful merchandising solutions that enhance the shopping experience.
The Field-Based Manager is a pivotal leadership position within this team, responsible for leading and mentoring a diverse team of Merchandising Team Leads and Merchandisers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. This role also involves developing and executing regional business plans that drive sales and strengthen brand presence in stores.
The manager will lead, mentor and manage a team of Merchandising Team Leads and Merchandisers, fostering a culture of teamwork. In this role, the manager must be innovative, creative, and adaptable to meet the evolving needs of the marketplace. A strong understanding of multi-account business dynamics, brand and operational excellence, and strategic planning is essential. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess robust people development skills to train and inspire their team. A results-driven mindset is crucial, along with the ability to analyze data effectively to measure impact and inform future strategies.
Do you have what it takes?
- Experience in Retail Merchandising or a related field within the consumer goods industry, with a consistent track record of driving sales and operational excellence.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in using sales data and insights to inform strategies and measure performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence partners at all levels.
- Proven ability to develop and implement business strategies that align with company goals and enhance brand presence.
- Experience in working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve business objectives.
- A strong dedication to improving the shopper experience and ensuring impactful brand presence in retail environments.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams in a management role is preferred
- Familiarity with P&L management and data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau) to drive informed business decisions
- Experience leading projects or initiatives within a retail or merchandising context
- Familiarity with retail management systems, merchandising tools, or mobile applications that enhance field execution.
- Experience creating and delivering training programs for team development
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to overcome challenges in retail execution.
Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $100,906.00 - $151,360.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
