Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to manage much of the accounting and financial tracking for the College.

Key Responsibilities:
Serves in a customer-facing role and is responsible for ensuring finance transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines. Executes procurement, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting, and asset management transactions. Works closely with NCTA staff and leadership and coordinates with larger entities in the NU system, providing a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions. Serves as the finance and compliance officer for student organizations on campus, ensuring compliance with Student Organization Financial Services guidelines. Functions under supervision of the Business Manager. Utilizes technology including QuickBooks and SAP to provide accounting and finance services.

The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture is a separate two-year degree granting campus of the University of Nebraska. Minimum Required Qualifications  | Any combination of two years of relevant experience and/or education, such as: High school diploma plus two (2) years of related accounting or finance work experience; ORAssociate degree in business, accounting, or related field.  Experience or training in Microsoft applications. Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar program. A willingness and demonstrated ability to learn new hardware and software systems. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with rules and regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA guidelines on the disclosure of information. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of reporting lines. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
