Financial Aid Compliance Specialist, Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships Full Description

Under the supervision of the Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Financial Aid Compliance Specialist is responsible for evaluating existing controls and practices and identifying areas for improvement in alignment with Federal Title IV regulations, requirements, and best practices. Serving as a regulatory resource for the Financial Aid and Scholarships team, the Specialist provides guidance, support, and contributes to the development of policies, business process documentation, and training materials.
The primary goal of the position is to ensure that all processes are consistent, uniform, and high-quality, while maintaining full compliance with applicable regulatory standards. The Specialist also maintains overall responsibility for the continuing development and content management of the office website and all required consumer information disclosures.
Position Details
  • Classification: Administrative Analyst/Specialist Exempt II.
  • Full-time, exempt position leading toward permanent status following successful completion of a probationary period.
  • Telecommute eligible: works onsite as scheduled and/or as requested, and telecommutes as scheduled.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $7,649-$8,445 per month (step 15-20).
  • CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,797-$8,445 per month.
