Job Summary
The University of Kentucky is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor to provide counseling and support to students and their families seeking federal, state, and institutional financial aid. This position will evaluate financial need, and award financial aid, on an individual basis.

This position will serve as a first point of contact to students to ensure a holistic approach to the financial aid eligibility for everyone within their assigned student cohort.

As part of our outreach, this position will also present information regarding federal, state, and institutional grants, loans, scholarships, and work opportunities at the various campus events, student and parent workshops, high school college nights, orientations, and recruitment events. This position will participate in outreach events utilizing email, text, and phone communications.

Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.
