RCC invites you to apply for our Financial Aid Technician position. This is a full-time, classified position with an excellent benefits package. The anticipated hiring range is between $40,000 and $46,000, commensurate with experience. This position will be located on the Warsaw Campus.

Reporting to the Financial Aid Coordinator, the Financial Aid Technician creates and maintains financial aid records and completes accurate reports. This position also assists students and staff with the financial aid process, including providing guidance, answering questions and conducting research. The incumbent informs prospective and current students, parents, and local area high schools of the availability, eligibility requirements and application process for all financial aid and Veterans Affairs programs. The Financial Aid Technician processes financial aid awards and makes student award recommendations to the Financial Aid Coordinator based upon specific program criteria for federal and state grants, scholarships, and emergency student aid.

Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications  | Ability to meet and assist the public, ability to monitor satisfactory academic progress as well as to counsel and advise students. Ability to organize and monitor student awards and verification documents and keep meticulous records. Experience in an office or educational setting, which involves decision making within specific policy and procedural guidelines. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently. Ability to deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Considerations  | Knowledge of the financial aid delivery system and the institution’s policies/procedures. Ability to handle financial aid budgets and need calculations. Knowledge and skills using PeopleSoft SIS system and queries.
