| Job Summary | The Utah Data Coordinating Center (DCC) at the University of Utah Health has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst provides a full range of financial services to assigned projects and activities within the Utah DCC. The Financial Analyst prepares financial reports, prepares project budgets and provides financial analysis to all DCC and project leadership. The Financial Analyst is able to manage a complex workload of multiple projects and is effective and efficient in coordinating with DCC Leadership and Project Operation Leaders. | Responsibilities | Financial Analyst Perform financial analysis on cash flow, operating results, and business plans to determine rates of return, capital/cash flow requirements, etc. Prepare forecasts and analysis on industry and general economic trends. Provide accurate and timely reports for performance monitoring. May be responsible for budget or cost analysis. Financial Analyst, III Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment. Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience. This is a Career-Level position in the General Professional track. Expected Pay Range: $56,000 to $76,573 Financial Analyst, IV Recognized as subject matter expert and advanced individual contributor professional. Requires specialized skill set. Conducts highly complex work, unsupervised and with extensive latitude for independent judgment. Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 8 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience. This is an Advanced-Level position in the General Professional track. Expected Pay Range: $67,760 to $92,618 |
| Minimum Qualifications |
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels: Financial Analyst, III: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
