Job SummarySomerset Community College is accepting applications for a Financial Specialist II position. This position will perform budget analyst duties to provide timely and accurate financial data to college administration.
Job Duties:• Create and distribute various financial data analysis spreadsheets

• Prepare various monthly account reconciliations such as cash, credit card, etc.

• Monitor daily Failing Journal Report, research issues, and correct as needed

• Audit payroll reports for budget check and accuracy

• Monitor post-distribution reports and general ledger for accuracy and vacancy credit

• Perform various accounting duties such as journal entries and budget transfers

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:Associate's degree (related field) and four years of related work experience, or equivalent. An equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to candidates with advanced Excel skills and with direct related experience with processing financial transactions and reconciling accounts.
