| Job Summary | We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Fiscal Analyst 2 – Financial Aid Working independently under general direction, the primary responsibilities of this position are to: 1) monitor award amounts under the federal and private loan programs and resolve any award eligibility issues or award discrepancies, 2) originate federal loans through the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) system and certify private loans through the Education Loan Management (ELM) system, 3) monitor cash positions in the Federal Direct Loan program accounts and insure that excess cash does not accrue, and 4) perform monthly and annual account reconciliations for the Federal Direct Loan programs and private loan accounts. Duties require knowledge and experience specific to the university’s various financial aid programs and the university’s student information system (Banner). The position works closely with staff in General Accounting, Student Financial Services, IT, the U.S. Department of Education, banks, and loan servicing agencies. The incumbent exercises significant independent judgment in the origination and certification of loans and performance of reconciliation duties.
