Job Summary
We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Fiscal Analyst 2 – Financial Aid. The office of Enrollment Services at Eastern Washington University invites applications for Processing Manager (Fiscal Analyst 2) to support EWU’s financial aid team. The Financial Aid Office at EWU strives to provide student-centered quality service and to administer the financial aid programs in such a way as to maximize education access and support the mission of the University. The Processing Manager will serve as strategic operational leader specializing in financial aid data exchange and process optimization and drive business process reengineering, ensure seamless systems maintenance and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

A successful candidate for Fiscal Analyst 2 must be prepared to administer and direct activities related to financial aid records management and electronic data exchange. This position demands a sophisticated blend of technical proficiency and the independent judgment necessary to advise on process reengineering, system maintenance, and the complexities of student aid, as detailed in the position duties listed below.

The Fiscal Analyst 2 reports to the Financial Aid Associate Director, and will regularly collaborate with teammates, campus partners, and systems providers, exploring and employing innovative solutions to all program related responsibilities.

Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree plus at least one year of experience in financial aid, higher education, MIS, or business process analysis OR three years of relevant experience with administrative responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to apply critical thinking to complex tasks while adhering to strict federal and state regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal skills for technical documentation and team collaboration.
  • Ability to pass all requirements for access to federal and state aid administration systems.

Preferred Qualifications
● Master’s degree in a related field.
● Hands-on experience with Ellucian Banner
● Technical writing experience and the ability to read/understand SQL.
● Proven success in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
