Job Description

Wytheville Community College Educational Foundation is seeking a candidate to manage scholarship programs.
Responsibilities of the position are as follows:The Scholarship Program Manager is responsible for coordinating the management of private WCC Foundation Scholarship and all tuition assistance programs. The manager works with the Director of Institutional Advancement, WCC Foundation Staff, Student Services Staff, Career Coaches, the Dual Enrollment Coordinator, Workforce Development, and the WCC Public Information
Office to promote and market scholarship opportunities and programs to eligible recipients. The manager also coordinates the processing of scholarship application forms; manages student thank you letters; assists with collecting required program documentation; assists with making scholarship awards with the WCC Financial Aid Office and the scholarship selection committee; assists with the coordination of community service opportunities for recipients; tracks recipient progress; maintains required program records and prepares reports. Maintains invoicing system for tuition programs.
The position includes basic office duties such as telephone communications, greeting donors and students, preparing and maintaining documents for the Foundation bookkeeper and assisting Foundation office staff with preparing for Board meetings and special Foundation events
Special Assignments | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications | Work experience and/or education equivalent to an associate degree in a related field;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software applications;
Excellent customer service skills and time management skills;
Ability to function in a high-paced, multifaceted office environment;
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing;
Ability to accurately organize information; and
Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with team members, students, and Foundation donors.
