Job Summary | The College of Nursing, CON Research department is seeking a Technical Project Specialist III to lead and manage the new CHILD waiver, ensuring all contract requirements are met efficiently and on time. This role partners with customers to define project scope, establishes requirements and goals in collaboration with Operations staff, and maintains full accountability for project budgets and cost management. As a senior member of the contract team, this position serves as a mentor and resource to lower-level project managers. This position is responsible for the full project lifecycle, including gathering requirements, developing project plans, defining scope of work, delegating tasks, and monitoring milestones and deadlines to minimize scope creep. Accurate documentation and reporting are maintained from project initiation through completion. The role also plays a key problem-solving function, proactively identifying risks to timelines and escalating issues to the contract lead as needed. We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work/Human Services with five years of related experience. Other relevant degrees may include psychology, nursing, counseling, education, and/or sociology. This position is located in Frankfort, KY and is hybrid.

Preferred Education/Experience | Bachelor’s degree in Social Work/Human Services or *relevant field with three years of related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in any field not closely related AND five years of *human services related experience; OR Be a registered nurse; or Be a licensed practical nurse; or Be a licensed clinical social worker; Be a licensed marriage and family therapist; Be a licensed professional clinical counselor; Be a licensed psychologist; or Be a licensed psychological practitioner.
Relevant fields of study may include social work, psychology, rehabilitation, nursing, counseling, education, gerontology, human services, and/or sociology.*Relevant experience may include: Experience as a case manager or in a related human services field Certified Nursing Assistant experience Certified Medical Assistant experience Certified Home Health Aide experience Personal Care Assistant experience Paid professional experience with aging and/or disabled populations or programs as a Case Manager, a Rehabilitation Specialist or Health Specialist, and/or Social Services Coordinator Assessment and care planning experience with clients Experience in working directly with persons with intellectual, developmental, or other types of disabilities or mental illness. Work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issue such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, and/or inadequate house.
