Job Description
The Gift Accounting Specialist is a collaborative and detail-oriented role responsible for supporting revenue operations within Blackbaud CRM. This position works closely with team members to evaluate system upgrades and integrations, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow processes and revenue accuracy. Using database query tools, the specialist provides ad-hoc revenue data analysis and supports strategic initiatives through detailed testing, documentation, and coordination. The role also partners with various advancement areas to ensure the accuracy and completeness of complex gift and donor experiences while maintaining strict confidentiality standards. In addition, the specialist serves as a responsive resource for departmental, university, foundation stakeholders, and donors, contributing to a high-quality donor experience and efficient advancement operations.
Required Qualifications
Previous Blackbaud CRM experience
Previous experience working as a functional liaison with technical teams
Previous data entry and bookkeeping/accounting experience.
Demonstrated proficiency with current computer software such as electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheets and relational database application.
Demonstrated capacity for discretion and for handling confidential information with care.
Demonstrated outstanding communication skills.
Demonstrated capacity to produce business correspondence, document business standard operating procedures, business charts and graphs, and electronic communications.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or associate's degree in accounting or information technology related field
Experience with a database query tool
Experience with high-level customer/donor relationship management
Higher Education Advancement experience
