I. DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
Job Description Summary:
Assist the graduate admissions staff in processing applications to CCAS graduate programs.

Duties include:
  • Processing new applications for admission, including (but not limited to) transcripts review, GPA calculation, test score matching, etc.
  • Responding to prospective student emails
  • Front desk coverage
  • Filing, scanning, and other general office tasks

The person in this role works closely with other members of the Graduate Studies Office and reports to the Senior Associate Director of Graduate Admissions and Awards. The person in this role interacts with prospective students from a variety of academic, cultural, national, and socioeconomic backgrounds. The position counsels applicants on the various graduate programs and their application requirements.

Minimum qualifications include:
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Has close attention to detail
  • Can multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Can work under minimal supervision
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Has work experience at a university

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Has work experience in an admissions office or fast-paced office environment.

Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/ GED, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. The degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
