Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Media, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Communication Design or a related field. One-two years full-time experience or in a Graduate Assistant role.
Job Description The Department of Athletics at Texas State University, winners of three of the last four Sun Belt Conference’s Bubas Cup for being the top-performing athletic department, is now accepting applications for the position of Graphic Artist II to support the Athletics department digital and creative media strategy. The position will oversee creative content planning and execution, while supporting content posting. This role will work with the external unit to enhance Texas State’s digital presence. This position will report to the Associate AD, Communications and work collaboratively with the External unit to coordinate the development, production and execution of creative content and digital elements. This position will oversee creative services student interns and one part-time position/Graduate Assistant.
Job Duties Oversee and implement creative, brand driven content across Texas State athletics channels in order to further the brand and objectives of Texas State Athletic Departments’ External Communications. Assist in managing the content creation calendar in collaboration with the external unit in order to coordinate Texas State’s creative content and directly oversee day to day strategy and planning not limited to ideation, content capture and editing of projects. Collaborate closely with communications and marketing teams to align messaging and objectives to achieve department wide initiatives by serving as a collaborative member of the external unit’s content team. Conceptualize, capture, edit, and/or produce creative video, graphics and photos to support creative content plans, with a primary objective of keeping Texas State’s content on the cutting edge of collegiate sports and increase the storytelling efforts of student-athletes, coaches, and others in Bobcat Nation. Captures and produces photo, video, and design to support creative content plans, with a primary objective of keeping the Texas State’s content on the cutting edge of collegiate social content creation. Hire, train, and supervise student creative content student team and part-time position/Graduate Assistant. Other duties, as assigned.
